Zentalis Pharmaceuticals Announces First Overall Survival Data for Azenosertib from DENALI Part 1b Published in ESMO Congress 2026 Abstract

Zentalis Pharmaceuticals announced interim overall survival data from the DENALI Part 1b study of azenosertib, its investigational WEE1 inhibitor for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. In Cyclin E1-positive patients (n=48), median OS was 15.8 months compared to 7.5 months in Cyclin E1-negative patients (n=46). The company concluded that Cyclin E1 is a highly selective biomarker for azenosertib response, with OS data comparing favorably to historical chemotherapy benchmarks, supporting continued development in Phase 3 trials.
