XBiotech announced positive final efficacy results from the Phase II TASKIN trial of its anti-IL-1α monoclonal antibody Vilamakitug (XB2001) combined with standard chemotherapy for refractory metastatic colorectal cancer. The study met its primary efficacy endpoint with a 12-month overall survival rate of 61.3% versus 55.7% in the control group. An exploratory subgroup analysis showed a statistically significant 62% reduction in mortality risk for patients with right-sided tumors.
