Venture Global, an LNG exporter, is pivoting to become an "AI utility" by building 10 gigawatts of data center capacity through modular power islands by 2034. The company has framework agreements with GE Vernova and Baker Hughes for equipment, with power expected online in 2028-2029. However, it still lacks binding agreements with major hyperscalers, which represents a critical hurdle for this capital-intensive expansion.
