Vattenfall beauftragt Fluence mit 1 GWh-Batteriespeicher am Standort Brunsbüttel

Vattenfall and Fluence Energy have signed a contract for a 254 MW / 1,000+ MWh battery storage system in Brunsbüttel, Germany, one of the largest battery projects in the country. The facility will be built at the decommissioned Brunsbüttel nuclear power plant site and is expected to become operational by end of 2028, utilizing Fluence's Gridstack Pro 5000 platform. The project will nearly double Vattenfall's existing battery capacity and support grid stability and renewable energy integration.
