CN and Union Pacific have signed a binding agreement to enhance North American rail connectivity. Union Pacific gains expanded operating rights on CN's EJ&E corridor through Chicago, while CN receives new rights on Union Pacific's network between Memphis and Eagle Pass to facilitate Canada-Mexico cargo transport. The deal aims to increase service capacity, create new growth opportunities, and strengthen competitive positioning in the North American rail sector.
