U.S. – Korea Framework Advances Deployment of Westinghouse Nuclear Technology in the United States

The U.S. Government and Republic of Korea announced a strategic framework agreement committing up to $120 billion to finance the construction of eight nuclear reactors in the U.S., including six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors and two Korean APR1400 reactors on federal sites. Korea will also make a cornerstone equity investment of 5-10% in Westinghouse, with Westinghouse receiving upfront payments and guaranteed scope of work.
