This ETF Has More Than Doubled the S&P 500's Returns Over the Past Decade. Is It a Buy for the Next Decade?

The Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (QQQ), which tracks the Nasdaq-100, has returned 570% over the past decade compared to the S&P 500's 255%. While much of this outperformance is driven by the AI boom and the Magnificent Seven mega-cap tech stocks (which comprise 35% of the fund), the author believes QQQ remains a solid long-term investment due to diverse growth opportunities across cloud computing, enterprise software, biotech, and retail. However, the author cautions that expecting 21% annual returns going forward is unrealistic, and investors should be mindful of overlap between QQQ and S&P 500 holdings.
