Surrozen Announces Closing of Second Tranche of March 2025 Private Placement for $95.1 Million

Surrozen, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRZN) announced the closing of its second tranche of a private placement, raising approximately $95.1 million in gross proceeds. The closing was triggered by FDA clearance of the IND application for SZN-8141 on October 2, 2026. The company now has cash runway into 2029 to advance its ophthalmology pipeline, including the DUET Phase 1b/2a study of SZN-8141 for diabetic macular edema and initial clinical development of SZN-8143. First patient dosing in the DUET study is expected in Q4 2026, with initial data anticipated in H2 2027.
