Skanska builds emergency hospital and associated buildings at Karlstad Central Hospital for about SEK 4.4 billion

Skanska has signed a contract worth approximately SEK 4.4 billion to construct a new emergency building at Karlstad Central Hospital in Sweden. The high-tech facility will span 90,000 square meters and include an emergency department, helicopter landing pad, maternity ward, infectious diseases department, and intensive care unit. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2026 with completion expected in 2033.
