SCYNEXIS Completes Phase 1 Study of Intravenous SCY-247, a Novel, Triterpenoid Antifungal in Development for Treatment and Prevention of Invasive Fungal Diseases

SCYNEXIS announced positive Phase 1 results for SCY-247, an intravenous antifungal candidate for invasive fungal diseases. The drug was well-tolerated with no serious adverse events, and doses of 50 mg or higher achieved target exposures identified in preclinical models. The company received a BARDA contract worth up to $214 million and plans to initiate Phase 2 studies in 2027 for both oral and IV formulations.
