Rigetti Signs Definitive Agreement for $100M with U.S. Government to Accelerate R&D for Superconducting Quantum Computing

Rigetti Computing has secured a $100 million funding agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS Act to accelerate R&D in superconducting quantum computing. The funds will support three key projects: miniaturizing readout electronics, expanding cryogenic capacity, and developing high-connectivity chip architectures. The Department will receive a minority equity stake in Rigetti as part of the agreement.
