Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Announces NICE Guidance for IMCIVREE® (Setmelanotide) Updated to Include Adults Living with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals announced that the UK's National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has expanded its positive guidance for IMCIVREE (setmelanotide) to include adults with genetically confirmed Bardet-Biedl syndrome, allowing NHS funding for this patient population. The expansion builds on previous 2024 guidance that covered patients ages 6-17 and recognizes the significant burden of hyperphagia and obesity associated with the disease throughout adulthood.
