U.S. pre-market futures opened higher on Monday with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 building on recent gains, buoyed by anticipation of major tech earnings reports. However, the U.S. trade deficit widened significantly to -$105.6 billion in August, the deepest level in 18 months, driven by increased imports of microchips and higher oil prices. Oil prices declined below $100/bbl for Brent crude and below $90/bbl for WTI, while bond yields moderated with the 10-year at 5.277%.
