Phase III Trial Shows Veracyte’s Decipher Prostate Test Can Predict Benefit from Adding Abiraterone to Treatment in Very High-Risk Prostate Cancer

Veracyte announced new data from a Phase III STAMPEDE trial analysis showing its Decipher Prostate Genomic Classifier can predict which men with very high-risk nonmetastatic prostate cancer will benefit from adding abiraterone to androgen deprivation therapy. The retrospective analysis provides Level 1B predictive evidence, with patients having higher Decipher scores showing greater benefit (10-11% absolute reduction in distant metastasis at five years versus 2% for lower scores). The findings support broader adoption of the test for treatment-intensification decisions.
