Pantera Capital Just Launched a New Index to Track the Crypto Market. Here's What Crypto Investors Need to Know.

Pantera Capital, S&P Dow Jones Indices, and Artemis launched the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index on July 20, focusing on revenue-generating cryptocurrencies. The index started with 18 constituents including Ethereum, Binance Coin, and Solana, but notably excludes Bitcoin and XRP. Selection criteria require consecutive quarters of positive protocol revenue and a minimum circulating market cap of $500 million. The index has outperformed broader digital asset indices in backtests.
