Ormat Selected for Approximately $35 Million in U.S. Department of Energy Funding to Advance EGS and Hydrothermal Development

Ormat Technologies has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy for up to $35 million in funding to advance Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) at its Dixie Valley, Nevada project ($25 million) and hydrothermal development at its Cove Fort, Utah project ($9.7 million). The projects will involve partnerships with SLB and the University of Utah to demonstrate engineered reservoirs and enhance understanding of geothermal resources.
