WestLight Energy announced completion of funding for a community microgrid project in Pescadero, California, designed to provide electricity resilience to an entire rural town of 700 residents. The project combines $3.5 million from PG&E's Microgrid Incentive Program, up to $4 million from PG&E for grid upgrades, $10 million from WestLight Energy, and $3 million from San Mateo County. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2029 with service starting in mid-2031.
