Nvidia's Supply Commitments More Than Doubled to $279 Billion. Here's What It Does to the Stock.

Nvidia doubled its supply commitments to $279 billion, primarily for memory procurement, to secure components for the next several years of AI demand. While gross margins will compress to 71-72% in Q4 fiscal 2028 as the company absorbs memory cost increases, management expects margins to recover to 72-73% in fiscal 2028 as price increases take effect. Despite near-term margin pressure, the company's strong revenue growth (89% YoY guidance) and reasonable valuation support a positive long-term outlook.
