Teva released findings from a discrete choice experiment showing that healthcare providers prioritize somnolence risk, long-term efficacy data, and drug-drug interaction profiles when selecting treatments for tardive dyskinesia in patients aged 55+. AUSTEDO (deutetrabenazine) was found to align most closely with these preferred attributes across all patient profiles. Additionally, data from the IMPACT-TD Registry showed that untreated tardive dyskinesia persists in 89-96% of patients over 24 months with no spontaneous resolution, underscoring the need for proactive treatment.
