NeOnc Charting New Nasal Route to Treating Brain Cancer

NeOnc Technologies (NASDAQ: NTHI) reported Phase 2a results for NEO100, an intranasal formulation of perillyl alcohol for recurrent high-grade glioma. The 24-patient study showed 48.9% six-month progression-free survival versus a 20% benchmark (p=0.0047), with median overall survival of 26.09 months. The novel nose-to-brain delivery approach aims to overcome blood-brain barrier challenges. While results are encouraging, the small sample size and open-label design warrant confirmation in larger randomized trials before regulatory approval.
