Mercer International Inc. Announces C$20 Million (Approximately US$14 Million) in Government of Canada Support for its Peace River Mill

Mercer International announced that the Government of Canada has committed C$20 million (approximately US$14 million) in financial support to its Peace River Pulp subsidiary through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative. The funding consists of a C$1 million non-repayable contribution and a C$19 million repayable contribution (repayment starting in 2031) to support the mill's modernization, productivity improvements, and expansion of bio-energy production and carbon capture capabilities.
