Major Banks Make a Move Into Stablecoins: What Should Investors Watch?

A consortium of 21 major global banks including Citigroup, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Wells Fargo plans to launch a U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin in the first half of 2027, enabled by the new GENIUS Act regulatory framework.
