ISRG's da Vinci Study Shows Better Outcomes Across 13 Common Conditions

Intuitive Surgical published a large meta-analysis in Annals of Surgery Open showing da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery delivered significant perioperative improvements across 13 benign procedures compared to laparoscopic and open surgery. Results included 54% lower conversion to open surgery, 69% reduction in blood transfusions versus open surgery, and 46% fewer 30-day complications. The da Vinci 5 platform continues gaining momentum with over 1,700 systems installed. ISRG stock gained ~8% following the announcement and currently holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
