IonQ's New Research Shows Up to 14.6% Gains in Engineering Workloads

IonQ and Synopsys demonstrated that quantum algorithms integrated into engineering simulation software can accelerate complex industrial design by up to 14.6%. The hybrid quantum-classical approach improved runtime efficiency in large-scale simulations, with physical execution validated on IonQ's 36-qubit Forte system. The research won the Best Paper Award at IEEE Quantum Week 2026.
