Garrett Motion’s Oil-Free Centrifugal Compressor Technology Advances Data Center Cooling Applications

Garrett Motion announced that Multistack has selected its oil-free centrifugal compressor technology for next-generation CRAC-DX data center cooling platforms in Asia-Pacific, with production starting in the second half of 2027. The compressor operates at over 90,000 RPM, is 50% smaller and 80% lighter than conventional solutions, and supports low-GWP refrigerants for improved energy efficiency and sustainability.
