From Strong Launch Sales to a Local Plant – New Momentum for iCAUR in South Africa

Chery Group officially inaugurated the Rosslyn Plant in South Africa on July 5, 2026, marking a significant milestone in its globalization strategy. The facility, originally built in 1963, will support the iCAUR brand's operations in South Africa with production scheduled to begin mid-2027 at 50,000 vehicles annually. The plant will retain 692 employees and create approximately 3,000 additional supply chain jobs, with a target of 40% localization by 2028.
