Fortrea Adquire Unidade de Farmacologia Clínica e Operações de Laboratório Bioanalítico da Worldwide Clinical Trials

Fortrea has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Early Phase Services division of Worldwide Clinical Trials for approximately $45 million in cash. The acquisition includes a GLP-certified bioanalytical laboratory in Austin, a 200-bed clinical pharmacology unit in San Antonio, and a biosampling storage facility in Pflugerville, Texas. This strategic move strengthens Fortrea's early-stage clinical development platform and enables integrated Phase I-IV services, while allowing Worldwide to focus on its rapidly growing advanced-stage development business in oncology, neurociencia, and rare diseases.
