Fervo Energy Declares Commercial Operation at Cape Station Ahead of Schedule, Leading the Race for Next-Generation Geothermal Energy

Fervo Energy announced that its Cape Station geothermal power plant in Utah has reached commercial operation ahead of schedule, achieving 33 MW of net power production and generating revenue under its power purchase agreement. The first GeoBlock was completed in 23 months, with the company targeting an 18-month timeline for future projects. Phase I comprises approximately 100 MW across three GeoBlocks, with the remaining two expected to reach commercial operation by January 1, 2027, while Phase II's 400 MW is under construction with an expected 2028 completion date.
