FDA Licenses First-Ever Freeze-Dried Plasma Product in the U.S.

The FDA has licensed Ezplaz Freeze Dried Plasma (FDP), the first freeze-dried plasma product approved for use in the United States. Developed by Vascular Solutions, LLC (a Teleflex subsidiary), Ezplaz can be stored at room temperature and rapidly reconstituted, making it suitable for use in combat zones, disasters, and remote settings where conventional frozen plasma is unavailable.
