KraneShares announced the completion of foreign investment trust registration for its Photonics & Optical ETF (LUMA) in Japan, enabling Japanese investors to access the fund through qualified financial institutions. LUMA joins two other KraneShares advanced technology ETFs (AGIX and KOID) already registered in Japan, collectively providing exposure to AI infrastructure, computing systems, and humanoid robotics. The fund targets companies developing optical interconnect and photonic technologies to address the data transfer bottleneck in AI systems, as AI networking market is projected to exceed $150 billion by 2028.
