CREDIT AGRICOLE SA: CRÉDIT AGRICOLE ACCELERATES ITS EXPANSION IN GERMANY AND SIGNS AN AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE IKB DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIEBANK

Crédit Agricole has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG from Lone Star Funds for €14.3 billion in total assets. The acquisition is a strategic move to accelerate Crédit Agricole's expansion in Germany's mid-corporate banking market, particularly targeting the Mittelstand. The transaction is expected to close by end of Q2 2027 and will have a negative impact of approximately 20 basis points on Crédit Agricole's CET1 ratio.
