Century Aluminum Applauds President Trump’s Action to Spur Domestic Aluminum Production

Century Aluminum and Emirates Global Aluminum announced plans to build a new aluminum smelter in Inola, Oklahoma, with capacity for 750,000 tonnes of production. President Trump's executive order reduces tariff rates from 50% to 25% for companies investing in new U.S. primary aluminum production, supporting the project which is expected to create over 1,000 direct jobs and 4,000 construction jobs. Century is also expanding capacity at its Mt. Holly plant in South Carolina.
