Brookfield to Acquire Aypa Power, the Leading North American Battery Storage Platform, from Blackstone Energy Transition Partners

Brookfield Asset Management has agreed to acquire Aypa Power from Blackstone Energy Transition Partners for approximately $7 billion enterprise value ($3 billion equity value). Aypa is North America's largest standalone battery storage developer with 6.5 GW of operating and contracted capacity plus a 20+ GW development pipeline. The acquisition provides Brookfield with a leading entry point into the North American battery energy storage market and enhances its ability to deliver integrated energy solutions.
