Boehringer Ingelheim announced positive Phase III results for survodutide, a glucagon/GLP-1 dual agonist, demonstrating up to 16.6% weight loss and significant reductions in visceral fat (34%) and liver fat (63%) in people with obesity. The SYNCHRONIZE-1 trial met primary endpoints, while SYNCHRONIZE-MASLD showed 84.2% of participants achieved at least 30% liver fat reduction. Gastrointestinal adverse events were the most common side effects, with 19% discontinuation rate due to GI issues.
