Barmeter Technologies Issues Statement on Harsha Nooka’s Research on Accessible AI-Generated Web Interfaces

Barmeter Technologies highlighted published research by Harsha Vardhan Reddy Nooka on the accessibility of AI-generated web interfaces. The AXIS-Bench pilot study evaluated whether large language models can generate code that meets WCAG 2.2 and WAI-ARIA standards. Results showed that AI-generated code with accessibility guidance passed all 12 interactivity tests, while baseline and single-pass conditions performed poorly, emphasizing the importance of functional accessibility evaluation beyond visual design.
