AstraZeneca Reports Significant Proteinuria Reduction With Ultomiris In Rare Kidney Disease

AstraZeneca announced that its Phase 3 I CAN trial of Ultomiris (ravulizumab) met its primary endpoint in treating immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN), showing a 46.6% reduction in proteinuria compared to 5.6% for placebo at week 34. The reduction emerged early at week 10 and was sustained through week 34, with consistent safety profile and benefits across patient subgroups.
