American Eagle Q2 Earnings Beat on Tariff Refunds, Aerie Strength

American Eagle Outfitters reported Q2 fiscal 2026 EPS of 79 cents, up 75.6% YoY, significantly beating consensus estimates, largely due to a $179 million tariff-refund benefit. Aerie revenues surged 24.9% with 19% comparable sales growth, while the American Eagle brand showed modest 0.7% revenue growth with flat comparable sales. The company projects mid-single-digit fiscal 2026 comparable sales growth with operating income of $540-$550 million.
