Amazon's Latest Warehouse Experiment Could Eliminate Millions Of Labor Hours: Report

Amazon is piloting a Full Facility Load Balancing (FFLB) system designed to optimize worker movement in its robot-filled warehouses. The system could save millions in labor costs and reduce approximately 7 million labor hours annually by automatically reassigning workers every three minutes based on package volumes. Amazon plans to roll out FFLB across its Amazon Robotic Sortable facilities this year and recently acquired Fauna Robotics, which developed a humanoid robot called Sprout.
