AGC Biologics has secured a multi-year commercial manufacturing contract worth hundreds of millions of dollars with an undisclosed international biopharmaceutical company for its new Yokohama facility in Japan. The agreement covers production of five biopharmaceutical products with at least 35 batches annually, reflecting growing industry demand for geopolitically stable and resilient supply chains. The Yokohama site is expected to begin operations in 2027 with 18,000 liters of single-use bioreactor capacity.
